A Nicer Place to Holiday

Travelling Around The World

Why do we travel? Apart from the obvious, which is to be somewhere at a certain time. What is it that makes us so curious and willing to cross the globe in search of more places to see and new things do to? As human beings we are bound to be curious, but learning something new just doesn’t quite cut it like learning it in a far off location. So what is it that makes travelling so enticing for us?

While travelling we will do things we don’t normally do, and eat things we won’t normally eat every day. This might be one of the reasons why people travel. But I don’t think it is just seeing new places and doing new things, it is also the feeling you experience while travelling. That feeling of adventure you get from exploring somewhere you have never been is what keeps people continuously seeking new locations. The excitement of seeing all the world has to offer gets our blood pumping.

That feeling you get from travelling to new places is mainly due to a change of scenery. So what makes a little bistro on the side of the street in Paris better than the bistro around the corner from your house? The different culture and over all vibe is what makes it special. The different languages and the taste of the indigenous food are different. The experiences and scenery, all of this is special because it is different. Different from what we experience in our everyday lives. (more...)

A Guide for People Travelling To the UK

When people are traveling to the UK, they will often have questions on various things and having a UK Net Guide will be very helpful for them, since it will answer most of the questions that they will probably ask. It is important to learn some practical information on immigration, documents required, what and where to eat among others.

When you are entering the country you must have the necessary official documents including a valid passport and visa depending on the country that you are coming from, which should establish your nationality and identity. If you are not coming from the EU, you may require a visa, but you will need to confirm this. On the other hand, when you are entering the country you must be aware of the prohibited goods, for instance, there are restrictions on some kinds of plants and animals, hence the need to confirm the list of prohibited goods.

When visiting any country abroad, it is highly recommended that you have a private comprehensive medical insurance before you arrive, and ensure that the cover is valid for the entire duration. If you do not have a cover, you may end up paying very high medical bills when you require treatment. You can change currency at different places, which include post office, banks and Bureau De Change kiosks in city centre and at airports, as well as some hotels. As for the cost of commonly used goods, this will largely depend on the outlet and the location, for instance a product may cost more in central London while it is cheaper in another part of the country.
